Pakistani Foreign Minister Visits CSISS

Pakistani Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar paid a visit to the China Society for International Strategic Studies (CSISS) Tuesday morning, discussing with Chinese scholars on bilateral relations and regional security.

Sattar spoke highly of the efforts made by the CSISS for furthering Pakistan-China friendship, believing that the CSISS has, through non-governmental academic exchanges, made contributions to safeguarding regional security, and provided opportunities and channels for scholars of the two countries to exchange views to enhance mutual understandings and trust.

Xiong Guangkai, CSISS president and deputy chief of the general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, chaired the discussion which attracted nearly 100 scholars.

The CSISS, a non-governmental organization, has kept regular academic exchanges with Pakistani institutions over the past decade.
