BOAO Forum to Promote China's Reform and Opening Up

The BOAO Forum for Asia, to be established Tuesday, will provide a platform for China's reform and opening up, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee Chen Jinhua said Monday.

The Chinese government welcomes the establishment of the forum in China. The diversified cooperation and dialogue among Asian countries are always supported and emphasized by the Chinese government, said Chen.

China is speeding up its modernization and will face many problems in the course, but an effective regional forum can help China learn and gain experience from other countries in Asia and across the world, he said.

Development is the biggest challenge for Asian countries. Through timely industry reconstructing and reform on financial systems, Asian countries witnessed economic growth after the Asian financial crisis, Chen said.

Asian countries have to integrate to promote regional cooperation with the aim to wipe off poverty, improve competition and realize prosperity, he added.
