On January 19, Honghe Frontier Police cracked a major drug-trafficking case in Gejiu City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, arresting two suspects and confiscating 4,500 grams of opium.

On January 18, the Jinping Branch of Honghe Frontier Police received a report that some drug-traffickers would pass Yuanyang County in Gejiu City. They sent a team of policemen to the spot and laid an ambush there waiting for the drug-traffickers.

At 13:40 pm on January 19, two middle-aged men appeared with bags over their shoulders and looked suspicious. The policemen dashed forward to push them down on the ground and ferreted out 4,500 grams of opium from their bags.
