Traffic Accident in Chongqing Kills 14 Persons
A fatal traffic accident occurred in Hechuan City in southwest China's
Chongqing
City Saturday, killing 14 passengers on board a bus.
A bus carrying 30 passengers overturned and fell from a 21-meter-high bridge on its way to Xiaojia Township Saturday morning. Twelve passengers died on the spot.
Soon after the accident, leading government officials of Hechuan City rushed the venue and medical workers did best to save the injured. However, two seriously injured persons were announced dead in hospital despite of all rescue efforts.
