Placido Domingo Arrives in China
Placido Domingo, one of the world's best opera singers, gave a concert in Shanghai January 6 evening.
Reputedly the best in interpreting Verdi's operas, Domingo satisfied the audience of thousands with quite a few famous melodies like that in Othello.
The concert reached a high moment when Domingo, along with two Chinese laureates, part of Domingo International Opera Singing Competition, sang an old Chinese folk song which is familiar to most Chinese people.
