Shanghai Enhances Friendship with ROK City
Representatives from Shanghai and Cheongju, a well-known tourist city in the Republic of Korea (ROK), met Wednesday in Shanghai to discuss ways to enhance their friendly ties.
Kijeong-Rha, mayor of Cheongju, said that he is expecting to strengthen cooperation with Shanghai in tourism, economics, culture and other areas.
Another purpose of the visit to China by the Cheongju government delegation is to mark the operation of the nonstop flight between the two cities which began 200 days ago.
Participants vowed to develop the air route into a bridge to promote friendship and mutual understanding between the people of the two cities.
