CPPCC Vice-Chairman Visits Friendship Cities Exchange Exhibition
Zhang Siqing, vice-chairman of the National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), visited the 2000 China International Friendship Cities Exchange Exhibition Saturday morning.
During his visit, Zhang learned about the achievements made by local governments in their exchanges and cooperation with sister-cities worldwide.
Co-sponsored by CPAFFC and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the exhibition got exhibitors from 28 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.
The exhibition was opened Wednesday. Concurrently held were lectures on the economic development of friendship cities and local governments and nine trade talks on environmental protection, international financing and investment, high technology and website auctioning.
