CMC Vice Chairman Meets Russian Deputy PM
Zhang Wannian, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, met Wednesday with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Ilya Klebanov.
Zhang said Sino-Russian relations have developed smoothly, and the two countries have strengthened their relationship in political, economic and cultural areas, and increased cooperation in the area of military defense as well. The Sino-Russian strategic and coordinative partnership oriented towards 21st century has expanded.
Klebanov said he is glad he was able to visit China on the eve of the fifth regular meeting between the Chinese premier and the Russian prime minister.
He voiced his hope that with the efforts of the two sides, Sino-Russian strategic and coordinative partnership will continue to grow.
