Sino-US Institute of Int'l Studies Established
A Sino-US institute of international studies, co-funded by Nanjing University in east China and Johns Hopkins University of the United States, was established Tuesday.
The institute will focus on studies of international relations, Sino-US ties, trade, environmental protection and many other major issues.
Senior scholars in areas like sociology, anthropology, economics, politics and history from both China and the United States will be invited to work at the institute.
The two universities jointly set up a center for Chinese and American studies in 1986, which has trained more than 1,000 professionals.
