Motorcar Overturn Kills 18 in Guangxi
A farming vehicle overturned Thursday in Fegshan County, in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, killing 18 people and injuring 16.
According to local police sources, the vehicle, traditionally used for farming purposes, carried 33 people when it lost control on a mountainous section of road and slid into a valley 100 meters below.
Sources said 17 of the people, including the driver, died on the spot and the others was rushed to the hospital, one of whom died on the way. Fifteen of the injured passengers are in serious condition.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
