Traffic Accident Kills 14 in NW China

Fourteen people were killed and seven others were injured in a bus accident which occurred on Sunday morning in Guyuan County, in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The double-decker bus was moving from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northwest China, to Henan Province, central China. It slammed into a cliff at 7:40 am after crashing into a truck because of fast speed and a dense fog.

Thirteen of the 42 passengers aboard the bus were killed instantly, and one died on the way to a local hospital. All the injured passengers were sent to local hospitals.

Further investigation into the case is continuing.
