14 Killed, 39 Injured in Bus Speeding Accident

Due to a traffic accident involving a bus, 14 people were killed and 39 were injured Wednesday morning in central China's Hubei Province.

The bus from Chongqing Municipality was transporting 53 people and was heading for Zhejiang Province in east China. It fell down a 200-meter-deep cliff after abruptly turning off the 318 national highway at a high rate of speed near the town of Ye Sanguan at 7:40 a.m.

The people who were injured were immediately sent to nearby hospitals by traffic cops and local people that came for help. Of the 14 people who died, four were children, according to the police.
