The Economist to Hold Seminar on China's WTO Entry
The British Economist magazine will hold the second round-table conference in Shanghai's Pudong New Area from September 6 to 8 and discuss the prospects of Shanghai's development after China's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Helen Alexander, chief executive officer of this globally influential magazine, said the conference is aimed at bridging foreign investors and the Chinese government so as to offer advice on investing in Shanghai, China's financial and trade center.
Senior managers from world-famous enterprises and Chinese officials will attend the conference, in which Shanghai Mayor Xu Kuangdi will deliver a speech.
The Economist has held several dialogue conference of the same kind in Shanghai and Chongqing since year 1998.
