China State Councilor Extends Regards to Police Officers

Chinese State Councilor Luo Gan visited policemen and public security officials and martyred families in Beijing today. At the Public Security Sub-bureau of the Xincheng District, Luo highly praised the hard work of police officers in the past year and their excellent job in protecting Zhongnanhai, the Chinese Communist Party and central government headquarters.

Luo brought flowers, baskets of fruits and other New Year presents to the family of Shen Jizhu, a police officer at ChongwenSub-bureau who was killed while arresting a criminal. Luo thanked his parents on behalf of the central government for nurturing sucha dutiful and patriotic son.

Luo also expressed his hope that police officers and public security staff in Beijing will work harder in maintaining public security and social stability in the new year.
