Sports Spikers get outfits sponsorship

After winning honors for his country as an athlete, China's former world champion gymnast Li Ning made further contribution to China's sports on December 15 in a contract with the Chinese Volleyball Association, According to report of China Daily on December16.

Li-Ning sportswear, named after him, will be the official sportswear of the 2000 Vinda Chinese Volleyball League after Li Ning Company and the association signed the contract worth of 6.6 million yuan (US$800,000).

Li-Ning brand sportswear, one of China's best brands, has been sponsoring the league since 1997-98 season.

The Chinese volleyball league, composed of the 12 men's and 12 women's teams, starts on January 8 and ends on April 16. Shanghai CTV Women's Team and the Sichuan Folan Men's team won the championships last year.
