BELGRADE, May 31, 2016 (Xinhua) -- Photo taken on May 18, 2016 shows the Pupin Bridge in Belgrade, Serbia, a symbol of Chinese-Serbian friendship. The Bridge, named after Serbian scientist and inventor Mihajlo Pupin, was opened by Premier of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic on December 18, 2014. As the second bridge over the Danube river in Belgrade, it has ended the history that for 70 years there was only one bridge in Belgrade over Danube. Connecting Zemun on the south of Danube and Borca on the north, the bridge has shortened the travel time from more than an hour to just 10 minutes and greatly reduced the traffic burden on the other bridge. The Bridge, constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), was China's first big infrastructure investment on the European continent. (Xinhua/Predrag Milosavljevic)
