Chinese low-cost air-carrier, 9 Air, has launched its first flight, with its cheapest ticket priced at 9 yuan.
That's a dollar-50.
The inaugural flight went from the city of Guangzhou to the city of Zhanjiang in western Guangdong.
Guangzhou-based 9 Air was founded in February as a budget subsidiary of privately owned Juneyao Airlines.
It is the third low-cost carrier in China after Spring Airlines and China West Air.
In the near term, 9 Air plans to operate domestic flights out of Guangzhou.
The company does have plans to expand into both East Asia and Southeast Asia.
