KURGAN-TYUBE, Tajikstan, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon said Friday that the establishment of strategic partnership between Tajikstan and China has opened broader space for bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Rahmon, who is also the leader of Tajikstan's ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP), spoke in Kurgan-Tyube, where he met with Zhao Leji, head of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Rahmon also said that Tajikstan currently is implementing important consensuses he reached with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The Tajik leader expressed thanks for China's long-term valuable support and assistance for Tajikstan's stability and development.

Rahmon believed that China's efforts to realize the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation will contribute further to regional and global peace and development and bring more opportunities for Tajikstan's development.

Zhao said that China-Tajikstan relations are standing at a new starting point and China is willing to embark on more comprehensive cooperation with Tajikstan in various fields.

China, as usual, supports Tajikstan's own choice of development path according to its own circumstances, said Zhao.

He hoped the CPC and the PDP will further strengthen exchanges and communications to jointly advance the strategic partnership between the two countries further.
