BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed five new ambassadors to foreign countries, according to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) on Tuesday.
Xiao Qian has been appointed ambassador to Hungary, replacing Gao Jian. Ma Jisheng is the new ambassador to Iceland, replacing Su Ge.
Su Jian is Cape Verde's new ambassador, replacing Li Chunhua, who has been appointed ambassador to Mozambique, taking over Huang Songfu.
Zhang Limin has been appointed ambassador to Guyana, replacing Yu Wenzhe.
Hu made the appointments in line with decisions made by the Standing Committee of the NPC, China's top legislature.
