Senior CPC official leaves for Asian party conference

BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) left here Wednesday for the 7th General Assembly of International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Baku of Azerbaijan.

The official is Du Qinglin, a member of the secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.

Du, also vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, was invited by the ICAPP Secretariat.
