CHANGSHA, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Two people died and another person was wounded during a fight at a hotel in central China's Hunan Province, police said Monday.

The attack broke out around 8 p.m. Sunday in a tea bar of the Fulihua Hotel in Changsha, the provincial capital of Hunan, local police said.

During the fight, people slashed others with knives, said witnesses, adding they heard gunshots. Police have denied there were gunshots.

The injured person is being treated in a local hospital.

Police are searching for the attackers, who fled the scene.

A debt-related dispute is believed to be the cause of the attack, according to initial investigations by police.
