New subway ticket machines take note

The second phase of Subway Line 10, the south part of Line 8, the north part of Line 9, and phase one of Line 6 will be open by the end of the year and will have new automatic ticketing machines, reported the Legal Mirror Tuesday.

The new machines are already in use on five of Beijing's subway lines, allowing passengers to get change in notes when they buy subway tickets. But when the notes run out, coins are given in change.
