Fang Fenghui stresses promoting national defense mobilization and reserve force building

BEIJING, October 14 (ChinaMil) -- Fang Fenghui, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), stressed at the concentrated training for leading officials of national defense mobilization and reserve force held on October 13, 2013, that it is imperative to vigorously promote innovative development of national defense mobilization and reserve force building.

Fang Fenghui stressed that national defense mobilization and reserve force building are an important basis for preparing for wars, containing wars and winning wars, and therefore, it is essential to strive to improve the capabilities for organization and mobilization, rapid response and support, and further improve conscription work as well as related policies and regulations, so as to recruit more high-caliber young people into the PLA.

Sun Jianguo, deputy chief of general staff of the PLA, Jia Ting'an, deputy director of the General Political Department (GPD) of the PLA, and Song Puxuan, president of the National Defense University (NDU) of the PLA, attended the concentrated training.
