Senior Chinese military official kicks off visits to Australia, New Zealand

BEIJING, October 13 (ChinaMil) -- Upon invitations of the Defense Forces of Australia and New Zealand, General Zhao Keshi, member of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China and director of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), left Beijing on Friday for Australia and New Zealand to pay official visits to the two countries.

General Zhao will meet with government and military leaders of Australia and New Zealand, visit troop units and logistical institutions of Australian and New Zealand Defense Forces.

Among General Zhao's entourage is Lieutenant General Gao Jianguo, director of the Political Department of the PLA Shenyang Military Area Command.
