7.0 magnitude quake hits Mindanao, Philippines -- HK Observory

HONG KONG, Oct. 15 -- An earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale jolted Mindanao, the Philippines at 08:13 on Tuesday(Beijing Time), the Hong Kong Observatory said.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Geological Survey reported a 7.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Bohol, the Philippines at Tuesday morning.

The epicenter, with a depth of 33.0 km, was initially determined to be at 9.8 degrees north latitude and 124.2 degrees east longitude, the USGS said.
