"Joint Teaching – 2013 Zhurihe" joint drill held

HOHHOT, June 26 (ChinaMil) -- An actual-troop confrontation drill, which was the final stage of the first joint drill of new-type combat force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) code-named "Joint Teaching – 2013 Zhurihe" joint drill, was conducted from June 24 to 25, 2013 at the Zhurihe Combined Tactics Training Base of the Beijing Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA.

The joint drill was an important one based on the PLA's latest integrated command platform in the military training program of 2013 of the PLA.

The participating troop units came from nine academies of the new-type combat force of the PLA and troop units under the Beijing MAC of the PLA. They conducted the drill on a total of six subjects including comprehensive fire strike, planning and decision-making and so forth.

According to Shi Zhongwu, chief director of the joint drill and president of the Shijiazhuang Army Command College of the PLA, the "Joint Teaching – 2013 Zhurihe" joint drill was a comprehensive drill featuring research and test, and it aimed at promoting training of combat units more closely to real battles and cultivating new-type and high-caliber military command personnel.
