Fan Changlong tours APF Special Police Academy

BEIJING, April 19, (ChinaMil) -- Fan Changlong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), carried out investigation and study in the Special Police Academy of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (APF) on April 18, 2013.

During the investigation and study tour, Fan Changlong observed training on such subjects as strike, live-ammunition firing and anti-hijacking by special operation members at the training center and the anti-terrorism fight experimental hall of the Special Police Academy, met with the members of the Chinese APF team that participated in the 5th International Special Operation Soldiers Competition, the "Warrior Competition", and extended his congratulations on their excellent results.

During the tour, Fan Changlong also listened to the related work report and fully affirmed the results from the construction of revolutionized, modernized and regularized APF in recent years, especially from intensified construction of special operation force.

Qi Jianguo, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), Jia Ting'an, deputy director of the General Political Department (GPD) of the PLA, Wang Jianping and Xu Yaoyuan, respectively commander and political commissar of the Chinese APF, and leaders of the General Office of the CMC participated in the investigation and study tour.
