NW China ethnic region reelects chairman

YINCHUAN, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Wang Zhengwei was re-elected chairman of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Sunday at the local legislature.

Wang, of Hui nationality, is a native of Ningxia. Born in 1957, he was appointed acting chairman of the region in May 2007.

Wang was first elected chairman of Ningxia in January 2008.
