New media stage and 'tickets' to 15th Youth Singer Competition final offered

BEIJING, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- China's 30-year-old singing competition, which had been "discovering" young singing talents are now recruiting contestants worldwide specializing in three major singing styles.

Regardless of nationalities, amateur or professional vocalists aged between 18 and 35 can now apply through the website: http://qgs.people.com.cn/

Take part in Youth Singer Competition, and win “tickets” to the most popular biennial music event, which is considered as the dream stage for young music talents. The country’s most welcomed website will build platform for talent show and communication with potential fans.

Join us to promote yourself and your organizations through the Internet and get your singing across to your listeners around the world. Applicants also have chance to appear on CCTV, large screens at airports and other possible media.

The deadline for the application forms, video or audio singing works will be Feb. 24. The styles allowed in this competition include bel canto (opera style- western style of singing), folk songs style (a Chinese style of singing) and pop style. Contestants can choose one song from the designated song list and one optional.
