BELGRADE, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Former China's coach Bora Milutinovic Wednesday said that Serbian football coaches have talent for their job in China, understand Chinese sport mentality well, and they are quick to adapt.
Asked to comment the fact that currently there are four Serbian coaches leading teams in Chinese Super League, Milutinovic said that it is not important where the trainer comes from, but their expertise and results.
"The fact remains that Serbian trainers are capable, and knew how to deliver results," said Milutinovic. "When I was manager of national team, Slobodan Santrac won the national championship as a coach, and there were others before him and after. I remember that Ljubisa Tumbakovic (now in Vuhan) has also won the title with Shandong - now led by Radomir Antic, and there is Aleksandar Stanojevic in Beijing Guoan also making well results, same as Dragan Okuka in Jiangsu Saintly."
Milutinovic also recalled his personal experience in coaching Chinese players. "I was more than satisfied with my players and cooperation we have had," he said.
"It is immensely important how the coach fits in surroundings, and how good personal communication with the players he has, understanding them as persons, and as a team."
"Also very important is work with younger generations in order to have continuity. When I was working in China, the team of players up to 20 years of age had some great results."
