Apple Inc is facing a lawsuit filed by a second Shanghai company over claims it infringed on the company's product rights in a case before a Beijing court.

Shanghai Animation Film Studio says Apple Inc and its product trading company in Beijing provided downloads of 110 films owned by the studio in its AppStore and on Apple websites.

It asked Apple to stop the infringement and is seeking 3.3 million yuan (US$530,970) in compensation. The case was accepted by the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court, the Beijing Times reported yesterday.

On Wednesday, Apple was in a Shanghai court in a patent case brought by Shanghai Zhizhen Network Technology Co Ltd. It says Apple Siri personal assistant application infringes on its patent for voice recognition software.
