Growth in the use of electronic payment products such as credit and debit cards has added $375 billion to China's GDP in the 2008-12 period, leading the Asia Pacific region, according to a study released Monday which was conducted for Visa Inc by Moody's Analytics.
The study covered 56 countries and regions, including China, representing 93 percent of global GDP. The research also found that a 1 percent increase in card usage produces an annual increase of 0.0565 percent in consumption.
