The China Tourism Academy predicts that inbound travelers to China will hit 211 million this year during the Spring Festival holidays which fall from February 10 to 16, up 20 percent year-on-year, the China Securities Journal reported Tuesday.
According to the report, the number of residents willing to travel has doubled to 76.8 percent, and tourism income is projected to reach 126.7 billion yuan ($20.34 billion) during the festival, up 25 percent year-on-year.
The most popular destinations are Beijing, Shanghai and Sanya on Hainan Island, the report said.
