New iPads coming Friday

Apple Inc scheduled its Chinese mainland launch of the iPad mini with WiFi and cellular, and its new fourth generation iPad with Retina display, for Friday, providing a suggested retail price of 3,488 yuan ($561) for the 16GB iPad mini and 4,688 yuan ($754) for the 16GB iPad 4, domestic news portal netease.com reported Tuesday.

Apple's official website shows that in the US, equivalent iPad models are priced at $459 for the mini and $629 for the iPad 4.

IPad 4 and iPad mini models with 32 GB and 64 GB capacities will be also available in the mainland through Apple's authorized retail stores and apple.com.
