SEOUL, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Samsung Electronics, the world's No. 1 memory chip maker, said Thursday that it unveiled the 64 gigabytes (GB) embedded multimedia card (eMMC) based on 10 nanometer (nm)-class process technology.

The 64Gb high-performance NAND memory using its 10nm-class technology was applied to the new 64 GB eMMC that went into production late last month, according to an e-mailed statement.

Embedded memory is the key memory component in mobile applications for smartphones and tablets. Advanced eMMCs will allow users to access high-density and high-resolution contents such as full HD video, web browsing and gaming on their latest mobile devices, Samsung said.
