KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 29 -- Headquarters of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) will relocate from its current location in Geneva, Switzerland to Kuala Lumpur in 2014, Malaysia's State news agency Bernama said here on Sunday.
Shafie Salleh, Malaysia's national scout chief, said the decision of the relocation was unanimously agreed by 186 member countries in the hope of basing the organization's headquarters in the Asia-Pacific region.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who is also the president of the country's Scout Movement, will announce the relocation in Parliament in February 2014.
