Kerry expects Syria negotiations to be held in June

STOCKHOLM, May 14 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said here on Tuesday he expected Syria to attend a U.S.-Russia backed conference in June to negotiate a peaceful transition in Syria, according to media reports.

Syria's Information Minister Omran Zoabi said earlier Damascus needs more specifics about the proposed conference before it decides whether to attend.
