Wenchuan resuce team

The distance between Wenchuan and Lushan is 178 kilometers.

The time lag between the Wenchuan Earthquake and Lushan Earthquake is 1,804 days.

How to organize the rescue in a more scientific, rational, efficient and orderly way has become the subject of reflection after the earthquakes.

Chinese society is increasingly aware that professional rescue teams could provide an important guarantee to the efficient and orderly post-disaster relief.

Wenchuan rescue team is a well-trained professional rescue team. It has never stopped training since the outbreak of the Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008.

The Wenchuan rescue team covers four groups including alpine rescue, ruins rescue, water rescue and medical rescue. It can get ready for operation in a short period of time.

Besides the rescue, masses psychological intervention services offered by professional social work teams in Lushan Eearthquake are faster and more accurate than those in the Wenchuan Earthquake.

72 hours after the earthquake, Wenchuan professional social work teams entered into the quake area and carried out the psychological assessment and emotional support to help people dispel the fear of disaster and adapt to the new environment.

In the Lushan Earthquake, volunteers appeared more united, and everyone could find his own position. A lot of volunteers even abandoned well-paid jobs and stayed in the quake area for a long time to help the victims. Comparing with the rescue work, the reconstruction work after quake is also important and worthy of respect.
