SYDNEY, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla have arrived in Sydney, enjoying a barge ride on the Sydney harbor before a morning tea with Australian Defense Force personnel and their families, local media reported on Friday.

The couple arrived at Garden Island on a wooden ceremonial boat, the Admiral's Barge from Admiralty House, the governor-general's official Sydney residence at Kirribilli.

The royal guests will have morning tea with 140 navy, army and air force personnel who have returned from operations in areas such as Papua New Guinea and Afghanistan, the Australian Associated Press reported.

After the tea, the couple will engage a number of events separately in Sydney before attending a Diamond Jubilee reception together at the Sydney Opera House.
