Underwater tour of Great Barrier Reef live on social media

Millions of viewers will enjoy a guided tour of the Great Barrier Reef without getting their feet wet.

A live broadcast via social media will be hosted by marine biologist and underwater cinematographer Richard Fitzpatrick from the Great Barrier Reef.

The ReefLive event, which will be broadcast from 8 am to 8pm (Beijing time) on June 7, coincides with World Ocean Day on June 8.

The broadcast from both an underwater reef studio with Fitzpatrick, and a land studio via Google and Hangout. Audiences can follow the latest news about ReefLive on its official channels via YouTube LIVE, Twitter and Sina Weibo. Netizens can also interact online with experts such as marine biologists, passionate tourism operators and conservationists.
