"China and India are growing day by day, and the two countries have helped Nepal a lot,” said Nepalese Vice President Parmananda Jha, who has received an interview in the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing on June 7.

As half of Nepalese are living without electricity, he called for more Chinese investment in the hydropower sector to utilize the country’s rich water resource.

Talking about the trade deficit with China, Jha said the trade imbalance between China and Nepal do exist. He expressed the hope that China will make more concessions for Nepal's exports to China.

Jha said he has seen lots of new technologies at the Kunming exhibition; therefore, he called for more technology support from China, which will help boost Nepalese agriculture development.

Jha attended the opening ceremony of 1st China-South Asia Exposition held in Kunming, China, which will last until June 10.
