MOSCOW, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Russian unmanned cargo spacecraft Progress M-19M has docked with the International Space Station (ISS) despite its aerial malfunction, the Mission Control Center (MCC) said Friday.
"The mechanical docking has been completed at 16:26 Moscow time (1226 GMT)," the MCC spokesman told reporters.
He explained that the docking was conducted in an automatic mode where the failed antenna was not necessary.
The spacecraft carries 2.5 tons of cargo for the six-member ISS crew from Russia, the United States and Canada.
A Soyuz-U rocket carrying the Progress spaceship blasted off from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan on Wednesday.
The Kurs aerial of the Progress failed to come out after the spaceship parted with the booster.
