On the afternoon of September 10 (Istanbul Time), upon their arrival in Turkey, the visiting delegate from Bright Food Group, including Wang Zongnan, Party Secretary and Chairman, and Cao Xiaofeng, member of Party Committee and CFO, visited and investigated Yildiz Holding’s ULKER biscuit manufacturing company and its retail terminal in Istanbul of Turkey.
Founded in 1944, Yildiz Holding is the largest manufacturer, retailer and exporter of food products, only secondary to the tobacco industry in Turkey. Its business scope had expanded from initial biscuit business to such fields as food and drink (except meat and ethyl alcohol), wholesale and retail, personal care, food packaging, and real estate. Now Yildiz Holding has 8 listed companies and 55 food producers in 9 countries of the world. In order to achieve its strategic ambition of international operation, Yildiz Holding strives to merge and acquire world-famous food enterprises in recent years, hence a substantial increase in its performance.
In Yildiz Holding’s ULKER biscuit manufacturing company, relevant directors firstly introduced to the visiting guests led by Wang detailed information of the company’s development history, main businesses, operation management, brand development, food safety and retail terminal. Biscuits, chocolates, and various pastries produced by ULKER had successfully claimed 48%, 48%, and 33% of market shares respectively in Turkey. 20% of its products were exported to countries in North America, Middle East, and Africa.
Then, accompanied by Trip Tripathy, Strategy Officer of Yildiz Holding, the visiting guests visited production workshops and production lines of ULKER biscuit factory as well as Yildiz Holding’s retail terminal in Istanbul.
