Military cooperation between relevant countries should not damage regional peace and stability

Some media reported that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will hold talks with Corazon Aquino, president of the Philippines, on July 27, and that the Japanese government will make use of governmental development aids to provide 10 patrol boats for the Philippines. Geng Yansheng expressed that China has consistently advocated that the military cooperation between countries shouldn’t undermine regional peace and stability. At the same time, we have repeatedly stressed that the will and determination of the Chinese government and armed forces to defend our national territory and sovereignty is unswerving. We will firmly oppose any words and deeds that undermine China’s sovereignty.
