Lu Yue was born in Fengtai district, Beijing, in 198. She suffers from learning disabilities and dropped out after finishing primary school to stay at home.

After training in Beijing Fengtai Lizhi Rehabilitation Center, she decided to get a job and got a position as a cleaner in Beijing West railway station. But she left to work in a printing house for three years.

Now she is unemployed again but a factory has expressed interest in employing her. She would relish a chance to be independent.
