Stars go "Behind the Candelabra"

Michael Douglas and Matt Damon hit the red carpet in Cannes on Tuesday for the premiere of Steven Soderbergh’s much anticipated "Behind the Candelabra".

They were joined by a host of stars, including Sharon Stone and Adrien Brody.

The film explores the relationship between the flamboyant pianist Liberace and his young lover Scott Thorson.

"I am really really proud of this film. I feel like there is a connection, on the one hand to my first film, because at the end of the day it is really about two people in a room, which is what my first film was about and at the same time, stylistically it is a progression," director of "Behind the Candelabra" Steven Soderbergh said.

The film is one of 20 movies in the main competition, vying for the prestigious Palme D’Or prize for best picture.
