Chinese president Xi Jinping’s state visit to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica and Mexico starting from May 31 and his meeting with U.S. president Barrack Obama on June 7-8 have drawn global attention.
China has already stepped into the center of the international arena. How will the country interact with the world? How will China, with increasing influence, deal with foreign affairs? To promote the healthy and stable China-U.S. relations on a long-term basis, the two sides need to proceed from a strategic height and long-term perspective of bilateral relations. To get a win-win path of new relations among major powers, the two sides need to respect each other, to seek common ground while reserving differences, and to continuously enrich the connotation of strategic partnership.

On March 14, Chinese president Xi Jinping talked with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama by phone. They reiterated that they will be committed to building the partnership between them and exploring the construction of new relations among major powers. The strategic positioning and development direction of China-U.S. relations are quiet clear.
The win-win cooperation between China and the United States is the trend of the two countries and will benefit all people in the world.
