Thousand-year-old coins intrigue visitors in Beijing (4)

Guojin, Staff, Ancient Coins Exhibition Center, said, “This is a wooden stamp used for paper money during the Qing Dynasty. First we spread some paint on here. And then we put a piece of paper on top, brush more paint on it and lift it up gently. Now we just have to write down its value and it’s ready for use.”

According to the organizers, the exhibition is a long term project and will be open to visitors for an extended period.
