Voice of Russia, People's Daily Online ink co-op agreement (2)

Voice of Russia and People's Daily Online signed a cooperation agreement in the Kremlin in Moscow last Friday. Chinese president Xi Jinping and Russian president Vladimir Putin attended the signing event.

On March 22, Ma Li, deputy editor-in-chief of the People's Daily and chairperson of the board of directors of People.cn Co., Ltd, and Andrei Bystritsky, chairman of Voice of Russia signed the cooperation agreement.

Under the accord, People's Daily Online and Voice of Russia will uphold the principle of “equal cooperation, mutual benefit and common development“. The cooperation includes sharing of online news sources, joint interviews, and providing expert contributions to each other.

The agreement is of historic significance for People's Daily Online, the new media representative of the People's Daily. It is also the first time that the People's Daily has signed a cooperation agreement with foreign media in the presence of two heads of states. The cooperation will add new vigor to the development of both sides.
