Taxi driver admits firing crossbow bolts at women (2)

By Cai Wenjun (Shanghai Daily)

11:03, December 03, 2012

The bolt failed to stick in her arm and fell to the ground. She picked it up and ran off as the taxi followed her. She reached a nearby store and sought help from people working there.

She called the police from home later that day after she had fallen asleep for several hours. There was about 5 milliliters of liquid left in the syringe, the newspaper said.

Police took her to hospital to be checked and she was told that the liquid was a narcotic which would have made her muscles go weak, making it impossible for her to defend herself.

The other attack took place last Wednesday when a woman surnamed Che was injured in the same way.

Police disclosed an "important clue" led them to Tian, who confessed that he was the man who fired on the women.
